A singer/songwriter whose soulful voice and piano skills have earned her an authentic grassroots following around the world.

Jessy Chick was born in Syracuse, NY to a very musical family. She started playing the piano and singing at age 4 and was writing her own songs by the age of 9. As a teenager, she was influenced by great voices such as Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, Tori Amos and Gillian Welch. Striving to be like her idols Jessy would always find a way to make and learn music. Whether that meant staying long hours in the music room after school or cutting class completely and hiding out in an old church where she was free to play for as long as she wanted.
At age 20, she began traveling and after a short stint of playing around Los Angeles, Jessy grew tired of big city life. She eventually made her way to Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica. This tiny town is positioned on the Panamanian border and is a stopping point for travelers and backpackers from all over the world who are making their way through Central America. This exposed Jessy to amazingly talented musicians and artists daily and became the boost she needed to open up and bare her soul to the world. It wasn't long before she had gigs at every establishment in town, touching people from all walks of life, from all over the world with her sultry and healing voice.

With the support of the town, and the Lazy Mon at Stanfords family, she began hosting a weekly Open Jam that allowed many musicians to showcases their wonderful talent in this little Caribbean town. Creating this massive network helped Jessy plan a successful grassroots tour in 2012 across Europe.
Jessy is excited to share her catalog of over 50 original songs with the first of many tours, starting in January 2014, from New York back to Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica where she found the roots to her soulful music.
